The aim of the alba-Wind project is to continue and ensure seamless data acquisition at the wind measurement masts, the free-field sensors and the research wind turbines (FWT) at the WINSENT test site. To this end, the existing infrastructure is to be continuously monitored, maintained and further developed in order to ensure a reliable data basis for research work. Another central element of the project is the comprehensive monitoring and analysis of the wind turbines, particularly with regard to the characteristic features of the test site. The location in the mountainous complex terrain is unique and therefore of central importance for research. In addition, the continuation and expansion of the open science strategy is being pursued. The data collected is to be structured, documented and made available in accordance with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable). This supports the use of data in the national and international research landscape and sustainably strengthens the transparency and quality of scientific work. Furthermore, in order to strengthen the WINSENT test site as an open and cooperative research platform, a close and continuous exchange between industrial partners and scientific institutions is being sought. This dialog is intended to promote the targeted use of the infrastructure and provide new impetus for application-oriented research and technology development.
