In the course of the growing dissemination oft he CIGS thin-film technique it is of crucial importance to understand the growth processes of the material using deposition rates relevant for industrial production. The gained knowledge is meant to support the transfer of processes into production.
The experimental realization of depositions is done at ZSW in an Inline-Coater for up to 30x30cm² large subtrates, which was optimized for this task. The growing CIGS material will then be analyzed at ZSW and partner institutes concerning phase formation and kinetics in dependence of e.g. temperature or Se-supply. Another focus is on the influence of the alkali-elements Na and K on the fast film growth.
