ZSW is participating in the joint project "Zinc-air batteries using innovative materials for storing renewable energies and grid stabilisation".
The task of ZSW is to develop cycle-resistant zinc electrodes with minimum dendrite formation and minimum change in shape. ZSW started by analysing the use of structure stabilisers in the electrode and the use of surface-active additives in the electrolytes. When selecting the additive, the properties of the reversible oxygen electrode must be considered.
