Solar modules undergo multiple stress testing
In June, the “Solab” photovoltaic testing laboratory belonging to the Zentrum für Sonnenenergie- und Wasserstoff-Forschung Baden-Württemberg (Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research Baden-Württemberg, ZSW) has expanded its testing services. A new climate chamber can now subject solar modules to multiple stress testing. The new test combines several stress factors and thus exceeds the certification standards for solar modules. This enables the module ageing to be better estimated. The additional testing is conceived for the boom in PV applications for extreme climate zones in southern latitudes.
