With its technologies based on expertise developed over 25 years, ZSW is playing an important role in many areas of the energy revolution. The main focus of this annual report is on integrated technical system solutions that will enable applications and infrastructures for electricity, heat, mobility and communications to be optimally linked. Important projects and the highlights from the previous year are presented here: for example self-produced lithium-ion cells with excellent properties, optimised fuel cells for future drive systems, a new efficiency record in thin-film photovoltaics and the start of operations of a 250-kW Power-to-Gas plant. This broad technological base provides the foundation for advising the German government and the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg on the energy revolution.
