In full cells with a balanced electrode combination, the properties of further materials, such as conductive additives, electrolytes or separators, can be evaluated in a targeted manner.

Tests performed on the capacity, cycle life, storage stability (shelf life), current carrying capacity, low temperature performance and impedance provide information on the behaviour of materials in full cells. In addition, safety tests and the opening and analysis of lithium-ion cells with a certain case history provide important information for the assessment of materials.
