The ZSW has extensive experience in conducting network and connectivity analyses. Data originating from various sources in the research and development context (patent data, funded project data, bibliographical information) and in-house evaluation algorithms are taken as a reference to trace the interconnectivity in individual sectors and fields of technology, to assess the relevant dynamics, and to analyse momentum on the basis of different parameters. Key players can also be identified in this way, and the evaluation can be extended to their position in the network, for example, and their proximity to other key players.
